Before half term we had Orshi and Renee come in to speak to our Secondary pupils. They are from Surrey Atlas which is a group for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities living in Surrey. They meet regularly to help bring about changes in Surrey that affect young people with SEND. It is a great way for our young peoples’ voices to be heard but also offers up lots of fun and social opportunities which are free!
Please look at the links below to see some of the things that they get up to. ATLAS Surrey – Accept, Teach, Listen, Access, Support (surreyatlas.uk)

If you would be interested in your young person getting involved with Atlas, please do let your class teacher know as we are happy to support in helping with the joining process.
Online Survey ‘Our Voice Matters’
Atlas is also running an online survey that all young people can take part in that live in Surrey and aged 8–25 years old. It’s a chance for young people to tell us what they think about education, mental health, the environment and much more. The survey is a great way for young people to share anonymously how they really feel about things, and help make positive changes. If young people complete the survey by 31st July 2022, there will also be a chance for them to win a £100 Love2shop voucher.
