Gosden Graduate 2022- 2023
This is THEA, our newest Gosden Graduate. She left Gosden in 2021, just before her 16th birthday. She is now about to turn 18!
Throughout her journey in the Secondary School Thea worked hard to collect lots of the key tools linked to her learning. These Life Tools are key to preparing our future Gosden Graduates for life post 16 and they continuously drive forward and shape our curriculum.
Thea is about to go into her 3rd year at Nescot College, Supported Learning. She has completed 2 years doing a Functional Skills Pathway, including Maths and English, Art & Design, Horticulture, Business and Work Experience in the Seasons Hub Nescot Café. She is going on to a Foundation Catering and Hospitality course with a view to transitioning to The Orpheus Centre when she is 19, a really meaningful and positive pathway.
Aside to her college learning she works at Cups & Co, part of the ALDAG charity “ALDAG is a Surrey based charity, whose mission is to promote the inclusion of people with learning disabilities into their local community life by developing social and supported employment opportunities”
Thea says “When I left Gosden I was worried about next steps. When I started at Nescot I was really nervous. BUT it is fine. I have grown in confidence. I try my best and I work hard”
